SiteCheckpath terms and policies Last updated 29 October 2026 TERMS AND CONDITIONS The terms for using SiteCheckpath and buying website reports or future monitoring services. 1. Who we are SiteCheckpath is operated by Will Hislop, a sole trader, trading as SiteCheckpath. Our correspondence address is care of Red Alpha Design, Potwell Copse, Arundel Road, Arundel, West Sussex, BN18 0QP, United Kingdom. Contact help@sitecheckpath.com about orders, support, cancellation or complaints. In these terms, we, us and our mean the operator of SiteCheckpath. 2. Your agreement with us These terms apply to sitecheckpath.com, its dashboard, website audits and report purchases. The service description, price and any plan limits shown before you order also form part of your contract. A paid contract is formed when we accept your order and confirm payment. These terms do not replace rights that the law gives consumers. A consumer is an individual acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession. 3. Who can use the service You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement. If buying for an organisation, you confirm you have authority to do so. Keep your email account and sign-in links secure. Do not share account access or allow others to buy through your account without authority. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. 4. What the audit covers The current service inspects source code and response headers from up to five eligible public pages on a website. The free preview shows the overall score. A paid report provides the category scores, findings, supporting evidence and suggested actions for that saved audit, with PDF and JSON downloads. Robots restrictions, page size limits, availability, redirects and access controls may restrict the pages inspected. Any skipped pages or scan warnings form part of the report's scope. 5. Understanding the results Scores are heuristic check results and reflect the information available at the scan time. They are not Lighthouse scores or an AI assessment. The current product does not render JavaScript, measure Core Web Vitals, test every accessibility requirement, perform penetration testing, or certify legal or regulatory compliance. A high score does not mean a website is free of defects. Results can change as websites change. We do not guarantee search rankings, traffic, sales, security or business outcomes. Review recommendations in context and take backups before making website changes; implementation work and professional advice are not included in a report purchase. 6. Acceptable use Submit only publicly accessible website addresses that you are entitled to assess. Do not provide administrator passwords, private access links, authentication tokens or confidential material. Do not use the service to bypass website restrictions, probe private networks, infringe intellectual property, harass others, overload systems, evade usage limits or conduct unlawful activity. We may refuse or stop scans where reasonably necessary to protect systems or respect website access restrictions. 7. One off report purchases A one-off payment unlocks one saved audit for one website at one point in time. It does not include new audits, future updates, ongoing monitoring, a consultancy service or a subscription. Once unlocked, the same report can be revisited and downloaded without paying again while it remains available in your account. Keep a downloaded copy for your own records. If you voluntarily delete a report, it may no longer be recoverable; this does not itself create a right to a replacement scan or a discretionary refund. 8. Prices and payments The total payable, currency, applicable taxes and whether a payment is one-off or recurring are shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive full card numbers or card security codes. We may withhold paid access until payment is verified. If payment is reversed, refunded or disputed, access to the affected purchase may be suspended while the issue is investigated. We will correct duplicate or incorrect charges and honour any remedy required by law. 9. Future monthly subscriptions Monthly monitoring is not currently available to purchase. This section applies only when a subscription is expressly offered and purchased. The order page will state the monthly fee, included features, domain allowance, scan frequency, recheck limits and start date. Unless a different term is expressly agreed before purchase, subscriptions will run monthly and renew automatically, with no minimum term beyond the initial paid month and the cancellation notice below. Included domain slots and scan allowances are not unlimited and unused allowances do not carry forward unless the plan states otherwise. 10. Subscription cancellation When subscriptions become available, you may give notice at any time by emailing help@sitecheckpath.com, or by using an online cancellation option where provided. No particular wording or explanation is required. Use your account email and clearly identify the subscription. Ordinary cancellation takes effect 30 calendar days after we receive your notice, or on a later date you request. We will confirm the end date and any final charge. Service and fees continue only up to that date. We will calculate any final partial billing period proportionately and refund any payment covering time after the effective end date. No separate cancellation penalty applies. Statutory cooling-off rights, cancellation for our breach and any legal right to end sooner take priority over this notice period. 11. Refunds and cooling off rights We do not offer discretionary change-of-mind refunds for one-off reports once supplied, or for subscription time supplied before cancellation takes effect. Not using the service does not alone qualify for a refund. This policy is subject to our Refund and cancellation policy and all applicable statutory rights, including remedies for defective or misdescribed digital content, failure to deliver, services not performed with reasonable care and skill, and any applicable cooling-off right. 12. Immediate digital supply For consumers, any loss of a cooling-off right for digital content depends on the legal conditions being met. Where we ask to supply a report during a statutory cancellation period, we must obtain your express consent to immediate supply and your acknowledgement that the right to cancel will be lost once supply begins, and provide the required contract confirmation. Browsing the site, accepting general terms, or making a payment does not by itself replace those steps. If the required steps have not been completed, your statutory cancellation rights remain. 13. Use of reports and intellectual property We or our licensors own the platform, branding, software and report format. You may download, retain and share a purchased report with your staff, advisers or a developer working on the reviewed website. An agency purchasing for its client may share that report with that client. Do not resell platform access, mass-republish reports as your own product, remove ownership notices, or reproduce the software without permission. These terms do not transfer ownership of the website content inspected, or prevent uses permitted by law. 14. Availability changes and account closure We will take reasonable care in providing the service, but maintenance, third-party failures and factors outside our reasonable control may interrupt availability. We may suspend misuse or a serious security risk and will give reasons where reasonably possible. For an ordinary withdrawal of paid access or service closure, we will give reasonable advance notice, normally at least 30 days where practicable, so you can download reports. Any refund or other remedy owed for undelivered paid content or unused paid service will be provided. We will not retrospectively remove your statutory rights. 15. Our responsibility to you Nothing excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or statutory remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. For consumers, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses caused solely by a customer's misuse, unauthorised changes or an unrelated third party. Business customers remain responsible for their own commercial decisions; an automated report is a starting point for review and not a warranty of commercial results. 16. Privacy complaints and disputes Our Privacy policy explains personal-data use and our Cookie policy explains browser storage. Raise complaints with help@sitecheckpath.com, giving your account email, order reference if available, and a description of the problem. Please do not send card details or passwords. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable time. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Consumers retain mandatory protections and court rights in their home jurisdiction where applicable; UK consumers may bring proceedings in the courts where they live. Business disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. 17. Changes to these terms We may revise these terms for new orders and service changes. The version supplied with an order governs that purchase unless a lawful change is agreed. Material subscription price or contract changes will be communicated before taking effect, with reasonable notice and an opportunity to cancel before any adverse change applies. We will not use a general change clause to alter an existing one-off purchase unfairly. REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY How one-off report refunds, future subscription cancellation and statutory rights work. 1. Contact and scope For all refund and cancellation requests, email help@sitecheckpath.com. SiteCheckpath is operated by Will Hislop, a sole trader trading as SiteCheckpath, care of Red Alpha Design, Potwell Copse, Arundel Road, Arundel, West Sussex, BN18 0QP, United Kingdom. This policy forms part of our Terms and conditions. Statutory rights take priority if a provision conflicts with them. 2. One off reports We do not offer discretionary refunds simply because you change your mind after a purchased report has been supplied. A report is a digital snapshot of the saved audit; a different score than expected, later website changes, or deciding not to implement the recommendations does not by itself make it defective. This does not prevent a refund or another remedy where legally required, including if paid access is not supplied, the report is materially misdescribed or defective, or a charge is duplicated or incorrect. 3. Consumers and immediate digital content Consumers may have a 14-day cancellation right starting when the contract is made. For digital content supplied during that period, this right ends only when supply begins after the required express consent to immediate supply and acknowledgement of the loss of that right, together with the required contract confirmation. Where these requirements have not been met, we will respect the cancellation right. Clicking a general acceptance of these terms does not alone waive it. Rights relating to faulty or misdescribed content remain even where a change-of-mind cancellation right has ended. 4. Monthly subscriptions when available Subscriptions are not currently sold. When launched, we will not offer discretionary refunds for subscription service already supplied or for a customer's non-use. Ordinary cancellation requires 30 calendar days' notice, which can be given at any time to help@sitecheckpath.com or through an available online cancellation option. Cancellation takes effect 30 days after receipt, unless you ask for a later date. We will confirm the end date. Charges and service continue only until that date; a final partial period will be billed proportionately. Any sum covering time after the end date will be returned. A cancellation request is effective when received, not only when we reply. 5. Statutory subscription cancellation A consumer may have a statutory initial cooling-off period for a subscription service and any additional renewal cancellation rights required by the law that applies when it is sold. These rights override the ordinary 30-day notice rule. If a consumer expressly asks for a service to start during a statutory cooling-off period, a lawful proportionate charge for service supplied may be payable, but only where the required information and request have been obtained. Starting a service does not automatically waive all cancellation rights for the entire subscription. We will not impose a cancellation penalty or withhold a refund that the law requires. 6. Problems with delivery or quality If access fails or you believe a report is materially wrong, contact us with the report or order reference and explain the issue. We will investigate and provide the correction, repeat performance, price reduction, refund or other remedy required in the circumstances. You do not have to accept a repair where the law gives you a different remedy. Nothing in this policy limits rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable law. 7. How to request cancellation or a refund Send your account email, the order or subscription reference if known, your cancellation decision or description of the issue, and your requested remedy. No special form or reason is required to exercise a statutory cooling-off right. You may send this statement: I give notice that I cancel my SiteCheckpath contract for [report or subscription], ordered on [date]. My name is [name], my account email is [email] and my address is [address]. Include the date; a signature is needed only if you send a paper notice. The bracketed fields in this example are for you to complete. 8. Processing refunds Where a refund is due, we will normally return it through the original payment method, without a refund administration fee, within the applicable legal time limit. For a valid statutory cancellation this will ordinarily be no later than 14 days after notice, subject to the applicable rules. Your payment provider may take additional time to display the credit. Full refunds or reversed purchases may remove access to the affected paid report. Closing an account is not a substitute for cancelling a subscription; tell us clearly if you want both. We will help resolve any ambiguity rather than continue billing silently. PRIVACY POLICY How SiteCheckpath uses personal information for audits, accounts, support and payments. 1. Who controls your information Will Hislop, a sole trader trading as SiteCheckpath, is the controller of personal information used to operate SiteCheckpath. Contact help@sitecheckpath.com, or write care of Red Alpha Design, Potwell Copse, Arundel Road, Arundel, West Sussex, BN18 0QP, United Kingdom. This policy covers sitecheckpath.com, its dashboard, audits, customer support and payment administration. 2. Information you provide We collect your email address and an account identifier when you sign in; website addresses you submit; saved audit scores, findings, timestamps and page evidence; payment and checkout references, purchase status and relevant refund or dispute information; and information you send in support messages. Stripe collects payment details on its hosted checkout. SiteCheckpath does not collect full card numbers or card security codes, and does not ask for your website administrator password. 3. Information collected through use and audits Cloudflare and other providers supporting the service may process IP addresses, browser and request details, timestamps, security events and diagnostic records. The application uses account or guest identifiers and hashed IP addresses where available to enforce scan limits. An audit fetches publicly accessible website source and headers, which may contain personal information published by the website owner, such as contact names or email addresses. We retain selected evidence and report results, rather than intentionally collecting private areas or website credentials. Do not submit URLs containing sensitive personal data, secret tokens or private query parameters. 4. Purposes and legal bases We use account, order and report information to take steps at your request and perform our contract with you, including providing scans, paid reports, downloads, sign-in emails and support. Where a business account is used by an employee or representative, we also rely on legitimate interests in delivering the business service and administering that relationship. We rely on legitimate interests for securing the platform, preventing misuse, diagnosing faults, collecting limited public website evidence and handling complaints or legal claims. We assess those interests against people's privacy rights. We process necessary records to comply with tax, accounting, legal and regulatory obligations. If we introduce optional marketing or optional cookies requiring consent, we will obtain that consent separately and explain how to withdraw it. 5. Emails and automated processing Resend sends requested sign-in links and other service emails where enabled. Sign-in links expire after 15 minutes and must be confirmed in the browser that requested them. The platform stores hashed tokens rather than usable plain-text tokens in its authentication tables. It does not store a sign-in password. Audit scores are generated automatically from defined technical checks; they do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about individuals. AI assessment, ongoing subscription monitoring and monthly summaries are not active in the current version. We will update this notice before materially changing these uses. 6. Who receives information Cloudflare provides hosting, database, DNS, network delivery and security infrastructure. Resend processes recipient and message information to deliver sign-in emails. Stripe processes payments and associated fraud prevention, refunds and disputes; we send your account email and report or order references when creating checkout. Stripe may act as an independent controller for some of its payment, fraud and compliance activities. Public DNS resolution supports website scans. An audited website or its hosting provider receives a request from our scanner and can log that request. The website currently loads fonts from Google Fonts, which can receive network and browser information when those font resources are requested. Providers' own privacy notices explain their separate processing. 7. Other disclosures and international processing We may disclose necessary information to professional advisers, authorities or parties involved in a genuine business transfer, where justified and lawful, with appropriate confidentiality safeguards. We do not sell personal information or use report contents for advertising profiles. Providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where a restricted transfer occurs, we must use an applicable adequacy arrangement or appropriate safeguards, such as relevant standard contractual clauses with the UK addendum or the UK international data transfer agreement, and assess any additional safeguards needed. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data; we do not promise that all data stays in the UK. 8. How long information is retained Accounts and saved reports are retained while they are needed to provide your account and report access, unless you delete a report, request erasure or the service closes. Clearing a guest cookie does not itself delete the corresponding database report. Expired authentication records cease to grant access and are removed through application cleanup; expiry is not a promise of immediate database deletion. Purchase references, scan-limit records and support correspondence are separate from report records and may remain after a report is deleted. We retain these only for as long as necessary for the relevant security, support, accounting or legal purpose, taking account of statutory record-keeping duties and applicable claim periods. We review the need to retain them; information subject to a dispute or legal hold may be retained longer. Backup copies may remain until the relevant backup expires, with access restricted. 9. Your controls and rights You can delete an accessible report from the dashboard, although deletion may be blocked while checkout is unresolved. Deleting a report does not automatically delete your account or the separate purchase records. Email help@sitecheckpath.com to request account closure, correction, access, erasure, restriction, portability where applicable, or to object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights depend on the circumstances, and legal record-keeping may prevent complete erasure. Where processing relies on consent you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful use. We may ask for proportionate identity verification. We normally respond within one month, subject to lawful extensions, and do not normally charge a fee. 10. Security and providing information We use measures intended to protect information, including secure cookies, account checks and restricted access to full reports. No internet service is completely secure. Do not send passwords, payment card details or confidential website access links in support messages. Email and essential account information are needed to sign in and obtain purchased report access; if you do not provide them, we cannot provide those functions. A free overall score can be requested without creating an account. 11. Children complaints and changes The service is intended for adults and is not directed at children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to another competent regulator where applicable. We would welcome the opportunity to address concerns first, but this is not a condition of contacting a regulator. We will update this notice when processing changes and bring material changes to your attention where appropriate. COOKIE POLICY The essential cookies and related technologies used by SiteCheckpath. 1. About this policy SiteCheckpath uses browser cookies to connect requested guest scans to your browser and to provide secure email sign-in and account access. Contact help@sitecheckpath.com with questions. The operator is Will Hislop trading as SiteCheckpath, care of Red Alpha Design, Potwell Copse, Arundel Road, Arundel, West Sussex, BN18 0QP, United Kingdom. Read this together with our Privacy policy. 2. Essential guest audit cookie __Host-wi-visitor is a first-party cookie containing a random guest identifier. It links a requested free scan to that browser and helps transfer access to the account that signs in. Its maximum browser lifetime is 30 days. The application stores a hash of the identifier. The technical cookie name retains an earlier project prefix; its purpose is SiteCheckpath guest audit access. 3. Essential sign in cookies __Host-scp-login is a first-party cookie that binds an email sign-in attempt to the browser that requested it. It lasts up to 15 minutes. __Host-scp-session is a first-party cookie used to recognise a signed-in session and protect account-owned reports. It lasts up to 14 days unless cleared earlier, including when you sign out. These cookies are Secure and HttpOnly, and use SameSite=Lax. They cannot be read by normal page scripts. 4. Third party technologies Cloudflare may use essential security or network-delivery technologies depending on the protections enabled. Stripe's hosted checkout may use cookies and similar technologies for payment functionality, fraud prevention and any optional features selected there. Their names and lifetimes depend on the provider and configuration; consult the notices shown by those providers. Fonts are currently requested from Google Fonts; requesting a font resource shares network information even when no optional advertising cookie is set. 5. Optional cookies and your choices The current application does not intentionally set optional analytics or advertising cookies. We do not ask you to consent to the essential cookies needed for functions you request. If we introduce non-essential technologies requiring consent, we will explain them and obtain the required choice before they are used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but doing so may prevent sign-in or remove guest access. Deleting a browser cookie does not delete saved server records or cancel a subscription. Use the dashboard or contact us for those requests. 6. Updates We may update this policy as the website, provider settings or cookie use changes. The date below identifies this version. Material changes involving optional technologies will be accompanied by the choices required by law.
